Love, Friendship, and Bravery Also Called Harry Potter.

Harry Potter, easily can be seen as one of the most popular series known by not only young adults but also their parents. Stealing the spotlight for years J.K. Rowling’s stories stole the hearts of millions. Why, out of all the books and stories that became such a hit was it Harry Potter? Simple, these books provide a new world. Something that people can use to escape from the vast reality we deal with everyday.  harry-potter-booksThe Wizarding World of Harry Potter, includes 7 books, 8 movies, a theme park, and countless video games including a Web-Based site where you can live as a wizard in Hogwarts – otherwise known as Pottermore. Even though people began to escape by reading, now the options are endless.

This new world was what made people fall in love, the idea of magic was amazing. However, the allure of magic was not the only factor in why people fell in love with he magical tale. Some might even be able to relate to the trials and triumphs of the series. A major theme in the books are friendship, bravery, and most importantly love.  Love brought not only (Spoilers) Voldemort to his demise more than once, ultimate love is also what brought Harry most of his success. Firstly we must look at the most powerful form of love –  a mothers. Not only was harry first saved from Voldemort  from his own mother, but Molly Weasley, and shockingly enough Draco’s mother – Narcissa Malfoy.Narissa_Malfoy_Forest_1998 Everyone sees how Harry’s mother originally saved him, but, Narcissa and Molly mightn’t be noticed so easily. Molly from the day Harry met her – was a mother to him. From the second she helped him get onto platform 9 3/4 her love was nothing short of unconditional. Molly’s love was slightly different but nonetheless incredibly useful. Growing up with the Dursley’s Harry never knew what love truly was until Molly showed him. This woman is so crucial in Harry’s life as she was the mother figure he never quite got. Now possibly the most important mother in Harry’s life was easily Narcissa Malfoy.

‘Is Draco alive? Is he in the castle?’

The whisper was barely audible; her lips were an inch from his ear, her head bent so low that her long hair shielded his face from the onlookers.

‘Yes,’ he breathed back.”

Narcissa, lied to Voldemort, by stating Harry was dead. She knew that the only way she would get back into the castle, to see hbp3her Draco was to admit the defeat of Harry. This finial stroke of mothers love was almost the demise of Voldemort. Love is the ultimate weapon. Along with the lifelong friendships, of Ron, Neville, Hermione and countless others, which in all reality is just another form of love.

“We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” – Albus Dumbledore

The bravery that also plays a major theme within the series shows that even the smallest of underdogs can gain the courage to accomplish whatever they think possible. Within the books, and movies, we are shown that even though you might be in????????????????????????????????????????????? a bad situation, that you can always find the light in anything. The bravery of the characters truly show that anyone, truly anyone has the ability to stand up for themselves, and do what they know is right. The theme of bravery has filled the pages and eyes of millions and personally it is just what people need these days. Bravery and courage from the pages and images can shed some inspiration for the courage of others.

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.” – Albus Dumbledore

Harry Potter is magical – no doubt in my mind on that, but its not just the magic that intrigues us. The result that so many people can relate to the wondrous words of love, friendship, and bravery is astounding.  People escape their own lives through the words written and can even inspire them to do great things within their own life. Harry Potter should be – and will, be forever immortalized as a masterpiece.
